Shisha Review: Social Smoke Lime
This is a great flavored tobacco. It really does have a strong lime taste and it’s the best Lime flavored shisha out there. The flavor on the tobacco lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours as well which is great since most hookah tobacco only lasts between 45 minutes and 60 minutes. I definitely recommend you try Social Smoke Tobacco, you will be very satisfied. NOTE Image used with permission from Social Smoke Company.

Cheap Hookah Tobacco
The tobacco used in hookahs is different than that associated with cigarettes, or, indeed, any other form of smoking. It is, traditionally, a damp blend–called tobamel or maassel–of fresh tobacco leaves with molasses or honey and semi-dried fruit or fruit pulp. Some smokers would add pomegranate juice or perhaps rose oil to the water, which added flavor to the smoke. Later, hookah tobacco was also mixed with fruit extracts, and in the 1980s tobacconists began experimenting with various flavors, so that now a virtual smorgasbord of highly aromatic hookah tobacco is widely available.
While some hookah smokers still prefer a strong Turkish tobacco, many delight in the large assortment of flavored tobaccos, often called shisha. The dark, wet mixture comes in flavors ranging from apple, cherry, apricot, and watermelon, to rose, jasmine, vanilla, honey, and licorice, with more exotic blends beyond that, such as lemon-cola, cappuccino, apple-mint, and a list of custom blends that is nigh on infinite.
Prices for packaged tobacco range anywhere from $4 to $17 depending on quality, and a variety pack of flavors might cost about $30. The price in most lounges for a bowl of hookah tobacco ranges from $4 to $9 for slower burning leaf or custom blends.
Since hookah tobacco is very wet it must be smoked using a hookah charcoal. Rather than being lit directly, the tobacco is heated with a coal placed on tinfoil or wire mesh above or in the bowl holding the damp mixture. Each bowl of this wet tobacco lasts a long time, usually requiring several replenishments of the charcoal. In the past, among those rituals and traditions surrounding the lighting and smoking of the hookah, or narghile, were strict prohibitions against lighting the tobacco incorrectly–or even allowing a cigarette smoker to light their cigarette off of the hookah coal.
Hookah tobacco is generally only 30 percent tobacco and 70 percent fruit flavoring and molasses or honey. It contains .05 percent nicotine and most types contain no tar. Because the tobacco is heated, rather than actually burned, studies have shown that there are fewer carcinogens produced in hookah smoke than in other forms of smoking. However, concerns about the length of time smokers generally spend around a bowl of hookah tobacco do warrant consideration, and studies have shown that carbon dioxide intake is actually higher in hookah smoking. Though mellower and less carcinogenic, hookah tobacco is still tobacco and the health risks remain. Hookah tobacco should only be smoked by adults over 18 years of age, and then smoked in moderation.

Discount Shisha : Discover Hookah Offers Shisha Sale
While sales of cigarettes are dropping, hookah and shisha sale statistics are going up every day as shisha becomes more popular outside of the usual countries where hookahs are popular (non-Middle Eastern countries). This trendy act of smoking is taking place all over the world, with smokers enjoying the smoking of a fresh shisha leaves, fruit pulp, molasses or honey. In larger cities, shisha tents are being set up at large hotels for luxurious smoking options and to introduce those who don’t know how to use a shisha to the act of smoking shisha. Learning how to use a shisha is not difficult. Basically, the shisha tobacco is heated by coals and the smoke is then purified and cooled through the water. Afterward it emerges through the suction tube, which is where it is smoked from.
Shisha Sale: Discount Shisha Is Ideal For Beginner Smokers Shisha smoking is similar to the smoking done in the classic movie, “Alice in Wonderland”. The act of learning how to use a shisha is all about the social element. Since shisha smoking is more fun and meaningful in groups, discount shisha is very popular. The less expensive the shisha, the more consumers can buy and share. In addition, discount shisha is a great choice for beginner smokers who aren’t sure what flavors of shisha they prefer.

Flavored shisha is an essential element for the operation of a hookah. There are a wide array of flavors to choose from, including common fruit flavors and trendier flavors of coffee. Each flavored shisha smells and tastes remarkably like the fruit or food indicated in the name. Flavored shisha has many advantages including the fact it is slow burning. In fact, one bowl of shisha lasts for about an hour, depending on how many individuals are partaking in the smoking session. Flavored shisha has a 2 year shelf life, if stored in an airtight container at room temperature. Most importantly, flavored shisha contains no tar and only a minimal amount of nicotine, a result of the fermentation process of the leaves. For those shisha smokers interested in attempting a variety of flavors, mixed cartons of shisha let a beginner try a little of everything to see which hookah shisha flavors are their favorites. Traditional brands of hookah shisha, Al Waha and Nakhla are less expensive and have more common, classic flavors to choose from. Premium hookah shisha, Alamasi and Saet Safa are considered better quality, with more intense tastes.

What are the ingredients in a flavored shisha like Al Fakher?
Could somebody please tell me what are the full ingredients in flavored shisha? Not just molasses, glycerin and honey. But what is in the molasses and the rest? Thanks in advance.
I thought it had no tobacco in it. Because a lot of packages say like 0% nicotine 0% tar.
I have talked to a couple of shisha manufacturers (Tangiers and Epic), not Al Fakher, unfortunately. Without giving away secrets, the process is what makes it happen. They most likely use a drying/curing process with tobacco, molasses, and the flavoring agent of choice. That creates the shisha. There are no other ingredients known to me.
Your second point addresses the health controversy regarding if hookah smoking is more or less healthful than cigarette smoking. I think the manufacturers can get away with saying 0% nicotine and 0% tar because the tobacco doesn’t actually burn in the hookah – only the flavor of the shisha is in the smoke.

Light brown residue coming from my hookah hose…what is it?
I recently bought a new hookah and hookah hose, I have been smoking and just now I inhaled a light brown-ish residue…this has NEVER happened before. What could it be? Serious answers only. Thanks everyone!
Ahh, the light brown-ish hookah residue issue…
It’s bound to happen, it can either mean 2 things:
1- the tobacco you’re using is rich in juice, you’ll need to dry it with a paper towel before you put the tobacco in the head thingy.
2- the hose is condensing from all the smoke + strong tobacco..
the best way to deal with this is to wash the hose, let it dry, AND dry the tobacco.
I’ve been on the Hookah for many many years now, and this will always be an issue, you need to keep the hookah clean, and the tobacco juice-free. enjoy.

What brands of shisha tobacco are tar-free besides Starbuzz?
Starbuzz is expensive and doesn’t really get me buzzed unless I smoke more than I am comfortable smoking. However, it is without tar, which to me is very important. I’m looking for a brand that has thick smoke, no tar, and gets me buzzed. Not Starbuzz, it says so on the label “0% tar.” And FDA approved. I’m sure it can’t be the only one.
First, all shisha tobacco has no added tar. Second, minimal tar is created because it’s cooked, not burned. So any hookah tobacco you find will be tar free.
Buzzed, huh. Well, Starbuzz is washed, it has as little nicotine as it can have without being herbal.
For a bigger buzz look at:

Romman, Nakhla, Tangiers (I would start with Lucid), Fumari or Fantasia.

Best Mixes with Al Fakher Tobacco?
I’m ordering some Al Fakher flavored tobacco and I was just wondering some of their best mixes. I have watermelon, strawberry, cocktail, double apple and grape.
HOOKAH – IT’S MY FAVOURITE! GET STRAWBERRY AND DOUBLE APPLE AND BUTTERSCOTCH AND MOCHA AND COFFEE – IT’S ALL GOOD. AND IF YOU GET ROSE, BE CAREFUL – IT’S REALLY FLORAL. BUT IF YOU MIX IT WITH DOUBLE APPLE, IT’S GOOD. TRUST ME AND BTW… I HATE BUTTERSCOTCH CHIPS, BUT THE HOOKAH IS WAY DIFFERENT. AND NEVER PUT MILK OR BEER IN YOUR HOOKAH UNLESS YOU WANT IT TO TASTE LIKE SH*T… AND HOOKAH HOOKAH COMPANY IS GOOD, AND SO IS STARBUZZ. SEX ON THE BEACH IS MY ALL-TIME FAVOURITE… LOOK IT UP ON AMAZON.COM IT’S AWESOME I PROMISE – FAVOUR IS EVERYTHING FOR THIS CHEF…

Do hookahs get you high? Are they illegal?
Do hookahs get you high? Are they illegal?I see people post pix of them ALL the time on Facebook and I’m not sure if it’s against the law or not, but does it also get you high, or does it just make for a good photo op? Sorry if I sound like a major virgin, but call me crazy for never smoking out of a traditional Indian pipe before.
Hookahs do not get you high, nor are they illegal. The substance that does both of those things has nothing to do with the apparatus itself. You can use a hookah legally to smoke tobacco (the normal kind, not the wacky kind). As to where to buy one, click on the link above.
