Are there any hookah coals that leave behind no odor ?

Hi, I recently purchased a hookah for my birthday and I got these hookah coals labeled Exotica Easy Lite Hookah Cubes. I still have an entire box.. easily over 90 coals, but I don’t really like them. The box says no odor, etc., but boy do these things smell. My mom is cool with me smoking hookah but she gets annoyed and says it smells bad. These coals ruin my entire experience because of the fact that they give off a strong smell and they flake like crazy. They are simply a mess. I know there are coals that give off little if no bad odors. I want to know which ones to buy and I would prefer if they would be quick lite’s so I can just light them with my lighter. Thanks !

Yeah, Japanese Coals always have an odor; it’s the silver coating that stinks. All Coals will have a smell lighting them, and most will have a little smell when on your bowl.

But your best bet is Coconara.

These are the only ones I use now.

How long does it take to heat up shisha coal with lighters?

How long and how many lighters does it take to heat up shisha coal?

Well, it depends on your coals. With three kings charcoal, you only need one lighter, and it doesn’t take too long to heat up, either. You’re smoking in no time.

There are Quicklights:

Now these are designed to be lit with a lighter. A few seconds of flame from your lighter onto the coal being held by your tongs will do the trick. When it stops lighting and is slightly gray all over, it’s ready for the bowl.

There are Japanese Coals:

These should be lit on a stove for a few minutes then scrape off the silver and put on the bowl.

There are naturals:

Light them on the stove until they are glowing red inside with white ash all around it. Flipping them during lighting will help speed up the lighting process.

Khalil mamoon kamaja and chronic hookah coals

Khalil mamoon kamaja and chronic hookah coals at hookahjohn.com. Check reviews at hookahpro.com. Okay, we changed the formula and, to tell you the truth, these coals are hard to light. But, because they’re really dense, which means they’ll burn a lot longer, makes them worth the trouble. Plus the fact they burn a lot cleaner. Then all you need are some coal holders, and you’re ready to smoke. I like to use four coals at a time, but that’s just me. You might want to use less. No matter how many you use, they’re worth a try.

Duration : 0:6:57

Can’t Taste Shisha Flavour?

So when I set up my hookah, I follow all the instructions and it works fine. However, I do not seem to be experiencing any real flavour, just smoke. I have a standard hookah and hoses and I use al-fakher branded hookah tobacco (atm I have double apple and cocktail). What am I doing/not doing that prevents me getting any flavour? I do put in quite a lot of tobacco, but i do not pack it above the bowl. Also I usually only use one quick lite coal: should I break it in half? The tobacco itself is in the tub and sealed, so I doubt it would lose flavour like that.

There could be a lot of sources, but since you say your’e getting smoke and just no flavor we can narrow it down a bit. AF is a decent brand and fairly flavorful especially the 2 you picked.

1) More tobacco. You probably need to put more tobacco in the bowl. It’s okay if it touches the foil. Too much air space broils the tobacco leading to smoke but little flavor.

2) Too Much Heat. Coals have the correlation of More Heat = Less Flavor but Huge Clouds. I would break my coals and half and light them. Start with 1/2 less than you normally use. And play with it the amount of coals. Take a half off, put one on. Until you find the right balance for your packing and bowl.

3) Your Coals. If you are using quicklights this can be the source. Quicklights have their additives that some can literally kill the taste of anything you smoke just by using them. Try switching to naturals. hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=2652&idaffiliate=284

What are the best coals and quick lights for hookah?

I have been using hookah coals that make my hookah taste BAD - so which are better for hookah smoking?

The best coals in my opinion are Coconaras

Made from coconuts, they have no taste.

Best Quicklights? Well, the only ones I can tolerate are Goldens.

and Three Kings:

What is so special about Starbuzz Charcoals for the hookah?

I am kinda big on hookah and I noticed that starbuzz has their own brand of coals. I was wondering if they are any different from three kings charcoal or any other kind of coals.

I had them a while back. If I remember correctly, they are more like Akhla Coals. They’re supposed to be quicklights, but you are better off putting them on a stove. As far as special, they throw the name Starbuzz on it and charge more. Very similar to the Starbucks business model. They aren’t any better, if not worse. Of course I am to the point where I don’t even want quicklights touching my bowl. You lose so much flavor with quicklights.

Which brand of Hookah Coals burns purple?

I’ve seen some reviews on shisha pipes, and I’ve always used coco nara coals, but I saw a few people using coals that burn purple. What brand of coal is that?

I’ve smoked a lot of coals, and I’ve never seen one burn purple. If I did I would never use them. Purple usually implies there is potassium which is usually Potassium Chloride and Potassium Nitrate, so I wouldn’t use it. If it truly is purple, don’t smoke it.

Although it could just be a response to the lighting in that area that makes it appear to be purple.

Is smoking a Hookah WITH all natural coals (coconara) healthier than regular cigarettes?

Do the all natural hookah coals make hookah smoking healthier than regular cigarettes?

(I do not need nor want to hear ’smoking is disgusing’ or whatever, so if you are one of those people do not comment. Serious answers only please. Thanks.)

Well smoking hookah is healthier for you than cigarettes automatically because shisha doesn’t have all the nasty tar and formaldehyde and shit in it. Plus the fact you’re not inhaling the tobacco smoke, you’re inhaling the burning molasses.

But yeah, I imagine using au naturale coals would make it even better for you (:
