I have a hookah hose question?

everytime i smoke i get nasty black stuff in my mouth. I have put water in the end and swung it around and some of the black stuff came out but its still not fixed. does anybody know how to wash them.

Hoses break down into 3 categories. Nonwashable, Washable and Rustproof.

Nonwashable – Have a metal wire to keep the shape. Water in it will make it rust. These are typical hoses. Hookah hoses were traditionally made to last more than a year.

Washable – Have the same metal wire but they are wrapped in a coating to prolong rusting but they will rust. Mya Saray Hoses make these.

Rustproof – Have no metal and cannot rust. Nammor Hoses are the only one sold online.

Sounds like yours is a Nonwashable. Black stuff coming out, your hose is finished. Toss and get it a new one

I prefer rustproof. I have switched all my hoses to Nammors. They are completely rustproof.

Traditional hookah structure is a compilation of basic parts like water holder, a tube or a pipe extended from the water holder. Opium and hashish used to be the major ingredients traditionally. Hookahs were quite tall structures that had to be placed on the ground level for smoking. But the contemporary versions are experimenting with the sizes. We can now avail hookahs of all sizes. The Hookah Used To Smoke Weed? Genius!

It’s important to not confuse a hookah with a bong. A bong has a solid mouth piece at the top of the device. A hookah has a flexible tube leading up to the mouth piece that you suck the smoke out of. Usually used for tobacco smoking, a hookah is nice to smoke weed out of, as well. Sometimes cannabis users mix it with flavored tobacco to enhance the initial buzz and give your high a particular taste. Flavored pipe tobacco can be purchased in a variety of delicious kinds, so find one that you like the most if you’re trying a hookah.

The difference between smoking a hookah and a blunt, for example, is that you can’t control how much smoke you inhale as well. With a blunt, or a pipe, or a joint, you inhale the THC in your mouth first, and then breathe it in with air. If you’re using a hookah, you inhale the bud directly into your lungs. This leaves you little control over how well it’ll hit, and how much smoke to actually breathe in. The science behind how it works is complicated, and involves a bit of chemistry. Using convection and conduction, you need to apply just the right amount of air pressure when sucking the smoke in. No wonder it’s harder to hit a hookah right than a bong or a can! Basically what you have to do is create lower air pressure at the base of the hookah than at the top. Much like a bong, this causes the smoke to filter through water, or whatever other liquid you decide to use to cool your smoke. The benefit of a hookah is that you can control the proper amount of heat transfer by moistening your bud prior to the actual process of smoking weed. That’s how it’s intended for tobacco, so that’s how it should be done with bud, as well.

A piece of tin foil with pinholes (can be done with a thumbtack) can act like a screen for your hookah. This can aid in airflow regulation and air pressure disbursement in the device. Putting ice in the liquid chamber is proven to be a good idea to cool the smoke down extra cold, for easier inhalation. You need to fill up the tobacco chamber about an inch, and put a lighter to it as you’re about to hit it. Don’t pack the bowl too tightly, or the smoke will have little room to go through, and this will mess up the whole process. To keep the hose clean, blow hard through it to get anything that may be stuck inside out. The tinfoil that was mentioned earlier goes over top of the bowl with weed, to keep heat spread out evenly. About thirty to forty holes should suffice. The proper way to smoke a hookah is to put a piece of coal over the tinfoil, but if you don’t have that, just use a lighter and move it over the tinfoil evenly.

Smoke up, and enjoy your hookah responsibly!

How do you insert the hose to a hookah?

It seems like a simple question but when i try to put my hose into the hole, it is too little and it falls out. is my hookah just a cheap one or is there a certain way to do this that i’m not doing?

Well, it could be a lot of things. Sounds like you need a new grommet. But it the instance that you can’t get one. Take some strips of paper towel and wet them and wrap them around the hose end and then try inserting your hose again.

What Makes A Mini Hookah Such A Good Choice

Mini hookahs can offer a lot that a larger pipe can not. We’ll review some of a mini hookahs advantages to see if it’s right for you.

When you buy a mini hookah then this of course is going to be the biggest plus.If you’ve had any experience transporting a large hookah then you’ll know how tricky it can be. And potentially damaging to your pipe! With a mini hookah it’s simply a case of popping it in its bag or carrying case and you are good to go. Very easy.

Truly. The design of mini hookahs is an advantage that doesn’t at first come to mind. But some of them are simply gorgeous. There are lots of different styles you could go for, from classic to Egyptian to exotic. But if I were you I would have a good hard look at modern mini hookahs. Modern mini hookah are future design classics that look good anywhere.

It used to be that the biggest pipes gave the smoothest, coolest smoke. No more. Modern mini hookahs smoke just as well as their bigger counter parts.

Shop carefully for mini hookahs and you’ll find one that smokes just as well as something a lot bigger.

These days mini hookahs are equally functional with one, two, three or four hoses. You can get the same quality of smoke from your mini hookah when smoking with a group of people as when you smoke alone.Quite a turn around from the days when you needed a really huge 4 hose hookah to smoke in a group.

Not surprisingly, you can pick up a mini hookah somewhat cheaper than a full size hookah. Obviously quite an advantage. If budget takes a place in your decision of what hookah to buy the considering a mini hookah would be quite smart.

If you are interested in a pipe that is portable, smokes really well and won’t break the bank the a mini hookah may well be the best choice for you.

Hookah Smoking, As Described By A Scientist

The cooling of tobacco smoke is a centuries old tradition. It is believed to have originated in India and eventually spread throughout most of the modern Arab world. The use of a hookah, or water pipe, is traditionally accepted by many cultures and continues to be the most prominent eastern tool used in the act smoking tobacco. The idea is to cool and to filter the smoke by passing it through a liquid before it is inhaled.

The hookah is usually constructed of four to six fundamental components which can be referred to by numerous terms depending on culture. The most important workings include:

The bowl is situated at the top of the hookah, attached to the tube. The bowl generally is made of clay or marble. The tobacco is placed in first and followed by coal or another ignitable material. The tobacco and the ignitable substance are usually separated by a thin metal screen.

The tube is a varied length but small diameter rigid tube that extends from the top of the body to the bowl. It acts as a passageway of the smoke cooled and filtered through the water and into the lungs of the smoker.

The body acts as the base of the hookah. It contains the liquid used for its cooling and filtering properties. The tube is connected to the base and the hoses extend from the base.

A mouthpiece is attached to the tip of each hose. The mouthpiece, originally carved from metal, wood or plastic and of varied shapes, sizes and colors, acts as a junction between the mouth and the hose that provides a solid and a steady draw of smoke.

Types Of Hookah Pipes – Sizes, Multiple Hose Pipes And Top Brands

As the hookah has become popular throughout Western countries, the variety of different shapes and sizes of pipe has become more diverse. It’s possible to get your hands on a pipe with multiple hoses for different smokers to smoke at the same time. Pipes also differ in size from large to miniature, with each one being more appropriate for different purposes – from parties, to small groups of friends, to private use. Pipes are also made from various materials nowadays, some of which are less durable than others. Certain materials can also have adverse health effects for smokers. The hookah pipe (also known as a nargila in Turkey or a shisha in Egypt and most Arabic countries) has been in existence for centuries, but its popularity with mass markets has lef to many creative innovations on the classic design. Most shisha pipe merchants sell three main sizes, a small, medium and large version which vary both in height and weight. If you’re looking to purchase a pipe, consider what type of occasion you will be using it for. If it will be mostly for personal use, there’s no need to buy a gigantic pipe. Also consider the number of hoses you will need. Again, if your pipe will be primarily for personal use, one hose will be fine. If you want to host swap parties with friends where you share your favorite flavored tobacco, it’s best to own a pipe with multiple hoses. Most nargila pipe merchants sell one, two, three and four-hose pipes.Egypt is generally considered to be the source of the highest-quality pipes on the market, closely followed by Syria. Most Egyptian shishas are made from steel, whereas Syrian pipes are more often made from brass. Some well-known name brands of Egyptian hookahs include Khalil Mamoon and Magdy Zidan. Other well-known brand names that you may come across if you’re in the market for a pipe are Nammor and Mya Saray (a popular Chinese brand). If you’re on a budget, a cheaper Chinese alternative may be the option for you. The Egyptian pipes, while they are higher quality, also tend to be quite pricey. Many Chinese pipes, for example, are made of inferior materials that may not be entirely safe to smoke through. There’s some speculation that smoking through a copper pipe can be poisonous to humans, although no solid scientific studies have proven the exact effects. But it’s probably better to be on the safe side and pay a little more for a quality pipe made of reliable materials by a respected brand.
